Volunteer Position: Our Outdoors Group Creator

Are you interested in getting more involved with Free Forest School and comfortable managing content online?

We’re currently looking for someone to manage the group creation process on Our Outdoors, our online community platform that connects 7000+ caregivers to nearby nature and each other.

The Volunteer would be responsible for:

• Regularly checking for New Group and Group Host requests on Our Outdoors

• Reviewing each request to determine what actions need to be taken: creating a new group, adding a host to an existing group, making changes to existing groups, or otherwise assisting Our Outdoors members in their Group Host requests

• Making updates to the Our Outdoors platform in order to: create a new group, make changes to existing groups, or add new hosts 

• Communicating with Our Outdoors members about their existing New Group or Group Host requests to give more information about next steps, answer questions, and approve or deny requests

• Updating the Free Forest School website to add or edit the Find a Local Group page 

You would be supported in these tasks with documents listing step-by-step instructions as well as templates for communicating with Our Outdoors members about their New Group and Group Host requests. Each request can take 15-30 minutes and we receive on average 1-3 requests per week.
